About The Scars Tell Her Story
TSTHS is a dark fantasy series that features themes of loss and grief, new romance, found family, legacy, sacrifice, and magic that wounds just as deeply as it heals. Set in a world where magic is the result of other realms bleeding into Earth, the reader follows Parker Aislyn and her friends as they navigate a destiny that they never asked to be a part of and learn to accept the scars they never wanted to wield.
My Story- A note from the author
The Scars Tell Our Story can be described as a 16-year-old’s passion project gone rogue. I never thought it was going to get this far- but this story took that thought personally.
Like many, I grew up on fairytales. Unlike many (but hopefully like you), I apparently never grew out of them. I wholeheartedly blame my grandmother for that. Her life motto- and wisdom that she passed on to her grandkids- was as follows:
“Never lose your inner child.”
When writing TSTHS, I wove that wisdom into the magic of the world and will continue to as long as I’m still writing.
For her- and for me- I’ll continue to hike my guitar to the woods behind the house and sing with the birds; I’ll wear my fanciest dress but still throw on my mud boots and jump into the swamp after that golden frog; and I will never stop looking to the skies for dragons flying overhead.
Because magic is real. It’s what you make it. And no, it isn’t just for kids.
